About the role:
We are seeking a Mental Health Coach to join a dynamic multi-disciplinary team. Your role will be to provide evidence-based services to a range of patients, with a primary focus on providing support to injured workers in their recovery and return to work within a compensable setting.
The successful candidate will work to deliver high quality healthcare to patients, in order to allow patients to return to meaningful activities and reach their goals.
Experience requirements:
Experience in delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and other evidence-based interventions/counselling to patients including motivational interviewing, behaviour modification, exposure techniques and activity scheduling.
Experience providing comprehensive assessment including history taking, subjective and objective assessment, review of patient progress and outcomes.
Comfortable/experience in delivering health coaching programs under a biopsychosocial framework to individuals (in person and via telehealth).
Experience working with diverse clients and complex cases.
Work with an uncompromising ethic on best practice and a commitment to constantly enquire and to always improve.
You are tech-savvy with effective administration and time management skills.
Strong communication and rapport building skills.
Collaboration and teamwork within a multidisciplinary setting.
Qualification requirements:
Tertiary qualified in one of the following disciplines with mental health endorsement to associated professional body; Occupational Therapy, Counselling* or Social Work.
* Counsellors must be a full clinical member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA); or a Level 3 or 4 member of the Australian Counsellors Association (ACA).
